Janet's Algae Fighting Tips
1. Keep water moving 24/7, especially when very
hot and sunny
2. Use some sort of beneficial bacteria regularly
(Microbe Life, Clear Pond, Eco Fix)
3. Install plants, plants and more plants so that
they will consume the nutrients that will
otherwise feed algae
4. Watch your fish load - they are wonderful, but
they are also fertilizer factories! If you love
your fish but constantly fight algae, you may
need an upgrade to your filter system.
5. Use a product like 'Algae Fix' to prevent and kill
off algae blooms as they happen.
